Bronycon 2019 in Maryland, USA - Final year!

I just wanted to spread the word on this since I met many G1 vendors there and one vendor is the reason why I found out about the HQG1C by selling me Genie and sparking the love for my G1s all over again!

August 1st to August 4th 2019 marks the final date of Bronycon. This will be there final year and it breaks my heart to see one of the largest pony conventions on the east coast to leave!

I will be attending and while I was planning to be a vendor this year, I wish to enjoy the final con with my family instead. We go as a family, my husband, me, our daughter and our son. While I am the main G1 fan in our household (my mom is one as well!), we all enjoy the ponies together.

I basically wanted to post in case anyone was planning to go and wanted to have a meet up while there. Hotel rooms are almost sold out and all sponsor badges are sold out (badges that includes special merchandise and privileges).

That's a real shame it's in its last year... Obviously being in the UK I can't go, but I hope everybody who does sends it off with the farewell it deserves xxx

Sad that it’s the last year. But maybe they will re organize in the future when the new series starts up? That’s great you found out about us at the con!
Are there usually a lot of G1 collectors there?

I've been going the past few years! There are a lot more G4 fans, then G4 collectors, then G1 collectors. There's usually one or two people selling G1s (although one of the booths is ridiculously overpriced and has been there the past few years). I hope I can go for more than just a day this time, and I'd love to meet more G1 ponypeople if anyone can make it down.

We started going about 5 years ago, don't quite remember, lol
I usually buy any G1 ponies I can find and both my kids enjoy the G3 (mainly due to the magnetic hoof, lol). I also love G2 ponies but rarely see any for sale! I just collect any ponies I don't have, no matter what the generation is and I am obsessed with plushies!
I would love to meet up with G1 collectors and share pictures of collections!
There is a trade/swap area that is at the convention but only for certain times, usually posted on the schedule. That may be a fun idea to join in! I'd be happy to bring my G1 extras if I know there will more others to trade with.
It looks like many vendors are already done being picked since a few artists I follow on facebook and deviantart posted that they were selected.
I think last year I saw about four or more vendors with G1 ponies.

Traveling Pony Museum booth will be selling my custom art ponies there for me!
