need neck plug help please!
Mon Mar 27, 2017 1:15 pm
I got this baity sea pony to customize for a contest but i wasn't aware the neck plug is so bad! I was afraid to try and get her head off but i managed. How can I fix the plug up so it doesn't finish ripping off?

Hummm.. Doesn't look that bad to me. I mean.. I've seen (and done) much worst and managed to put the head back in without much trouble.
Is the piece completely loose at some point? Or is it only the hole we see in the image? What I usually do in these cases is use heat to soften the body and like that the head goes back in without much pressure.

no thats the only hole. as for softening her to put it back her head is already REALLY soft like soft enough my hair is jealous soft lol! I'm new to sea ponys so not sure if all of them are that soft or if I just got an odd one lol but yeah my concern is I'll be taking her hair out and rehairing her with a diff color and such so I'm worried that while doing that I risk tearing the plug even more. I'm pretty new to pony customizing and repairing.

hahahaha! I know what you mean! Some ponies are so soft that it seems they are going to melt in your hand XD I don't think you will have any problems. Just be gentle. Putting hair in shouldn't really be an issue. But if you are really worried about it, maybe using some epoxi? Dunno.. I would just rehair it normally. Pony plastic is stronger than we think

I wouldn't worry too much about the neck being torn like that. You can always glue the head back down into place once you are done customizing.
